What is e-raze?

The e-raze Rejuvi tattoo removal system is a unique method of tattoo ink extraction, which is designed to completely remove tattoo ink pigments from the body. The treatment has been extensively researched, developed and tested for over 10 years and in use worldwide for over 8 years.

The treatment utilizes similar methods as having the original tattoo. The removal formula is delivered to the ink using a tattoo or permanent make-up machine, therefore the treatment can only be performed by a trained professional. The extraction cream is specifically designed to blend with and capture the original tattoo ink.

The e-raze treatment is substantially less painful than other removal methods and the treatment course and subsequent tattoo removal is typically much faster and more effective than laser removal options, including effective removal of all tattoo colours.

The e-raze system is suitable and effective on both professional, home-made tattoos and permanent make-up and on most areas of the body apart from sensitive areas near the eyes or areas where high levels of moisture occur. The treatment is not colour selective (unlike laser) and acts on all colour pigments equally.

E-raze Rejuvi tattoo removal system consists of alkaline earth metal oxides and transitional metal oxides in a suspension. When E-raze Rejuvi tattoo removal suspension has good physical contact with tattoo pigments in the skin, the tattoo pigments merge gradually into E-raze Rejuvi suspension.

E-raze Rejuvi tattoo remover is incompatible to the skin so that the skin repels or ejects it. After the tattoo pigments merge into the E-raze Rejuvi removal suspension, the skin rejects the mixture of remover and captured ink to the skin surface.

What e-raze is not

It is important not to confuse the e-raze Rejuvi tattoo removal system with any other method of tattoo removal.

E-raze is not:

  • a home applied treatment to fade your tattoo
  • A skin coloured cover up tattoo
  • An acid or bleach based fading treatment
  • A medical or surgical treatment

The Treatment

A consultation and patch test is required at least 48 hours prior to treatment. The tattoo remover is applied in a similar manner to having a tattoo applied using the same equipment. The tattoo extraction formula gets to work almost immediately drawing the original tattoo ink upwards through the skin. A crust containing the tattoo ink will form over the treated area over the next couple of weeks. As the skin heals it will push more of the unwanted ink out. The crust will start to naturally fall away taking the unwanted tattoo ink with it.

The treated area should be kept dry after treatment and while the crust is on the skin. Some of the remaining ink may also move into the epidermis, the layer of skin that is naturally being constantly shed and thus the area may lighten further over the following weeks.

The e-raze system is so effective it is feasible although unlikely that a tattoo can be removed in a single treatment. Normally a tattoo will take a number of treatments, typically 3-4, depending on condition, history and your individual circumstances. The treated area should be allowed to heal for 8-12 weeks following treatment before subsequent treatments are done.

After Treatment

After treatment the skin will have some redness, which will gradually subside. It should be noted that, as with any method of tattoo removal, there are some risks involved in attempting to remove a tattoo. Scar tissue may be evident on the original tattoo and can form from attempted removal. The actual number of treatments required can vary depending on your individual circumstances and condition of the original tattoo and complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

Aftercare

Correct aftercare is vital to achieving the best results from the treatment and to help avoid scarring or post treatment complications, including the risk of serious infection.

  • If a dressing is to be applied, it should be loosely fitted and breathable and not in place for longer than 6 hours
  • Do not force a dressing off, contact your therapist for advice
  • Fastest non-surgical method
  • Avoid the treated area rubbing on clothing or other surfaces, which may irritate the area
  • The protective crust, which develops must be kept dry at all times.
  • Avoid heavy exercise or excess sweating
  • Do not pick off the crust
  • Allow the crust to naturally peel away 10-14 days after treatment
  • Do not scratch the area, tap lightly to relieve itching
  • Avoid sun exposure to the treated area as the area needs to be gradually re-exposed to uv rays

Advantages of E-raze

  • Less treatments
  • Lower cost
  • Fastest non-surgical method
  • Not colour selective
  • Less scarring
  • Can be used to lighten tattoos for better cover ups
