Sculptra is an injectable volumising treatment which stimulates the build up of the bodys own collagen to smooth out lines and wrinkles and restore lost facial volume to give you a fuller, younger-looking face. It’s effect is gradual and exceptionally natural looking.
Two or three treatments are usually required and the benefits may become noticeable after about six weeks. Clinical studies have shown that the results of Sculptra can last for more than three years, which is considerably longer than many other injectable treatments.
Over time, your skin loses its full, firm, youthful appearance as a result of natural ageing. As the skin starts thinning and losing its natural elasticity, it becomes loose and starts to wrinkle. You also gradually loose the fatty tissue that helps to fill out your face, causing the skin to sag and wrinkle even more.
The loss of facial volume can make your face look thin and narrow, with sunken cheeks – sometimes to the extent of making you look older than you actually are. With Sculptra, you can restore facial contour and reduce lines, wrinkles and sunken cheeks without resorting to face lifts or cosmetic surgery.
The main ingredient in Sculptra is Poly-L-Lactic Acid which has been successfully used in surgical operations for more than 25 years. Sculptra was specially developed to repair facial scars and contour defects and more than 150, 000 patients have been treated worldwide since 1999. Sculptra is long lasting, bio compatible and biodegradable. Should you wish we at Future Hair & Beauty are happy to advise you further on the above treatment

A thorough complimentary consultation is given with a fully qualified nurse or doctor who will assess your requirements and a comprehensive consultation form will need to be completed by you prior to treatment. If wished, you may return at a later date for treatment if more time to consider all options is required. You will be issued with Sculptra leaflets to read and consider.
On the day of your treatment, anaesthetic cream may be applied 30 minutes prior to your treatment to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. A treatment typically takes one hour to complete. With your consent, photos prior to and after the treatment are taken.
During the treatment, a series of injections deliver the required amounts of sculptra to the face to achieve balance and fullness as required.Following the treatment, the nurse or doctor will massage the areas treated. It is essential that you continue to massage the areas treated at home as directed. This will reduce the risk of nodule formation.
The most common side effects are bleeding, tenderness, redness, bruising or swelling at the injection sites. These side effects are temporary and will reduce in the few days following the treatment.
Occasionally, nodules may be felt under the skin and this occurance may be minimised with massage at home as directed by the nurse. Why not contact us at Crawley Hair & Beauty Salon for free consultation
